Prerequisites

  • Node.js >= 22
  • pnpm — engines.pnpm floor is >=9.0.0, but the repo pins packageManager: pnpm@11.1.0, which Corepack activates automatically. Both are true at once.
  • Docker or OrbStack — for the local Supabase stack (Postgres, Auth, Storage).
  • Supabase CLI — installed as a root devDependency; no separate global install needed.

No other services are required for local development — the PDF service and API run as plain Node processes under process-compose.
